Green Jade Shrimp are the bright red variant of the captive bred Neocaridina davidi freshwater dwarf shrimp. Green Jade Shrimp are one of the more rare Neocaridina color variants. The shrimp you will receive will be between 1/2" to 1" in length and a mix of female and male shrimp. It is important that your aquarium is mature and stable before adding in shrimp as they can be sensitive to sudden changes in water chemistry. Neocaridina shrimp are natural scavengers and will graze on naturally occurring biofilm in the aquarium, but also enjoy the supplemental algae wafer or fish food. We like to keep our Neocaridina shrimp in aquariums with a lot of aquatic moss, freshwater aquarium plants and other decorative items like driftwood or stones.
