If you are looking to build an aquascape that feels anchored, ancient, and heavy, standard spindly branches aren't going to cut it. Enter the Pacific Driftwood Stump: a rugged, chunkier cousin to classic Malaysian wood featuring a weathered, river-washed surface full of gnarly knots and deep textures.  Use it as a top‑tier anchor to ground slopes, support hardscape, and give your layout a sense of permanence. It truly stumps the competition.

Product Features and Benefits

  • Unlike smoother woods, the craggy exterior of Pacific Wood is easy for epiphytes like Anubias and Bucephalandra to grip. Simply tuck them into the crevices for a seamless, living planted aquarium hardscape.
  • Its shape provides a low-profile, heavy aesthetic that mimics the base of an ancient river-bottom tree.
  • The rugged texture provides a massive surface area for beneficial bacteria and biofilm, making these stumps a high-value foraging ground for shrimp and bottom-dwellers.
  • Every piece offers a unique weathered look that adds immediate maturity to your layout, making it feel like it's been submerged for decades.

Size Specifications
Photos provided are a representation of what you will receive. This is a natural aquarium hardscape product; please expect variations in shape, weight, and character.

  • Dimensions
    • Small: 7-12"
    • Medium: 12-16"
    • Large: 16-20"
    • XL: 20-24"

Preparation and Care
Driftwood is a natural product and requires a bit of prep before it’s ready for prime time.

  1. Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the piece to remove any dust or debris from transit.
  2. The Floating Phase: It will float initially. We recommend soaking it thoroughly or boiling it. A large stone or heavy decor may be placed on top to ensure a non-waterlogged piece of wood stays submerged.
  3. Tannin Management: Like most aquarium driftwood, this will release tannins, giving your water a warm, "tea-colored" tint. This is a natural occurrence, and the effects will subside over time. If you prefer crystal-clear water, a 1–2 hour boil is the best way to fast-track the process. You can also reduce this effect through consistent water changes or through the addition of Aquario Neo Carbon Bag

Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1-2 hours to help release tannins.
